We make a life by what we give”<br /><br />With this thought in mind I wanted take a moment of your time to talk to you about an organisation called the Child Welfare Scheme and a little challenge I have set myself!<br /><br />CWS provides education, healthcare and social opportunities for disadvantaged children in Nepal and is a fully registered international charity.<br /><br />CWS supports the most disadvantaged children of Nepal, meeting their needs regardless of how<br />difficult the circumstances may be and using new ideas &amp; technologies to improve services and<br />make them both accessible &amp; enjoyable to use!<br /><br />Most of the CWS staff are based in Nepal, which is cost-effective and means they can closely<br />monitor projects and ensure every penny is spent wisely!<br /><br />Why do they need your help?<br /><br />CWS aims to make their projects sustainable, helping partners and communities to find ways to<br />take over and fund projects themselves.<br /><br />However, this is a gradual and challenging process, so they need your support to continue these vital projects.<br /><br />Why do they work in Nepal?<br /><br />Out of every 100 children in Nepal:<br /><br />• 42 live below the poverty line<br />• 48 will be malnourished<br />• 42 will be involved in child labour<br />• 39 will not complete primary education<br />• 7 will die before their fifth birthday<br /><br />Over the years I have become involved in adventure challenges to raise funds for CWS; for<br />more information go to: <a href="http://www.cwsuk.org/">www.cwsuk.org</a> <br /><br />This has become my passion and I am currently preparing for my next challenge.
