From an employment perspective competition is intense and globalisation and technology has greatly increased the size of the playing field. Competition for your job can now come from practically anywhere in the world. Regardless of how you feel about this change it is here to stay, in fact the speed at which that change will occur will only increase. Now more than ever we must adapt and evolve with the change that is at play or run the risk of being left behind or becoming obsolete.

The key to success is to finally accept that change is upon us, change is good and ultimately become a ‘change junkie’! Take time to not only understand the nature of change that is occurring but also constantly seek golden opportunities to jump onto the ‘change bullet train’. This in itself can be hard as change can be difficult, stressful and create feelings of resentment derived from romantic sentiment of the way it was or the good old days. Hanging on to what has passed often leads to both frustration and anxiety; let it go, embrace the moment and be optimistic of what the future may bring.
